Senior Analyst - consumer research

Ampere Analysis is a research and analytics firm focusing on the film, TV and communications sector. Ampere works with an extensive range of media and communications companies, including Hollywood studios, sports rights holders, public broadcasting groups, online video providers, pay TV operators and telecoms groups.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst who is inquisitive with a passion for data and research.

Key Responsibilities

Working within the consumer research team helping to carry out primary quantitative and qualitative research into the media and entertainment sector.

  • Assisting with research design, testing and processing to support Ampere’s syndicated and custom consumer research work
  • Working with colleagues to develop innovative solutions to help clients deal with live business challenges relating to content sales and acquisition, analysis of their competition, or business planning
  • Assisting with the wider team’s custom consulting work for high-profile film, TV and technology firms 
  • Authoring reports that identify important industry trends and support clients’ understanding of underlying market dynamics 
  • Delivering client-side presentations, assisting with sales meetings and call, and briefing clients on topical or research issues


  • A 2:1 or equivalent degree from a leading university 
  • Inquisitive with a passion for data and research 

Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates who offer the following:

  1. The candidate should have prior experience in quantitative or qualitative experience consumer research, ideally within the media, broadcast or adjacent sectors 
  2. Knowledge and experience of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  3. Ability to build insight from data and present it in clear and engaging manner
  4. Excellent attention to detail and pattern recognition
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships both within the company and externally with clients
  6. Some experience of SPSS, Q, Snap, STATA, Excel statistical packages or equivalent
  7. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  8. Strong work ethic, with ability to be flexible and quickly respond to ad hoc analytic or research requests common in this dynamic, fast-paced, data-driven environment
