Who needs to see the doctor? Financial fortunes in major media groups
Ampere has assessed 27 media companies using a basket of key financial ratios. Ratios analysed include: Debt to Equity, assessing how leveraged a company is, Operating Cash Flow ratio, which measures whether a company could afford to service current liabilities through operating activities; and Operating Income Margin, which shows how well a company is able to convert revenue into profit. Ampere research shows the varying degrees to which media companies perform when assessed using these ratios and highlights the different strategies used by companies to address challenges in their respective markets.
